At the same time, we will also indicate the specified criteria for the storage period. II. When you want to look at our website, we collect the following data that we technically require to display our website and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f GDPR): – IP Address, – Date and time of your query, – Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), – Content of query (specific page), – Access status/HTTP status code, – Any quantities of data transferred, – Website the query comes from, – Browser, – Operating system and its interface, – Language and version of the browser software. (2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer as you use our website. Cookies are small stored text files associated with the browser you are using that provide certain information to the location that sets the cookie (in this case, to us). Cookies cannot execute any programs and can transfer no viruses to your computer. They are for making the website more user friendly and more effective. (3) Use of cookies: This website uses the following types of cookies whose scope and function are explained below: – Transient cookies (see a) – Persistent cookies (see b). a) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. They especially include session cookies. These store the session ID with which various queries from your browser are associated during your overall session. This allows your computer to be recognized again when you come back to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser. b) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified time, which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies from your browser at any time from the security settings. c) You can configure your browser setting as you wish, and refuse third-party cookies or all cookies, for example. Please note that if you do that, you may not be able to use all functionality of this website. d) We set cookies so that we can identify you during later visits if you have an account with us. Otherwise you would have to log in again every time you visit. e) The Flash cookies used are not captured by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects that are store on your device. These objects store the required data regardless of the browser you are using and have no automatic expiration date. If you do not want Flash cookies to be processed, you must install the appropriate add-on, such as “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/…) or the Adobe Flash Killer cookie for Google Chrome. You can stop the use of HTML5 storage objects by setting your browser to private mode. We also recommend that you delete your cookies and browser history manually on a regular basis. IV. Other functionalities and offerings of our website (1) In addition to purely informational use of our website, we offer services that you can use if interested (such as the contact form). For this, you usually have to provide personal data that we use to provide the service and that apply to the aforementioned bases for data processing. (2) We partially use external service providers to process your data. We have carefully selected and authorized them, they are bound to our instructions and are regularly inspected. (3) Your personal data can also be passed on to third parties if we offer contract fulfilments or similar services in collaboration with partners. You will receive more details on this if you enter your personal data. (4) If our service providers or partners are headquartered in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of this. V. Objection or revocation against processing your data (1) If you have given consent to processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time. Such revocation affects the reliability of processing your personal data after you have notified us of it. (2) If we base processing of your personal data on a balance of interests, you can lodge an objection to the processing. This is the case especially if the processing is not necessary for fulfilment of a contract with you, which we show in each case with the following description of functions. If you exercise such objection, we ask that you explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data. In the case of a justified objection, we will examine the matter and either adjust the data processing or notify you of our compelling legitimate reasons for continuing the processing. (3) Naturally, you can object to processing of your personal data for purposes of advertising and data analysis at any time. Regarding your objection to advertising, you can inform us using the contact data under I. (2). VI. Web analytics (1) Use of Google Analytics a) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC. (Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow analysis of your use of the website. The information created by the cookie about your use of this website will usually be transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. In the case of IP anonymization on this website, however, Google will first abbreviate your IP address within European Union member countries and in other contracting states to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and be abbreviated there. Under contract with the owner of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services associated with website and Internet use for the website owner. b) The IP address transferred by Google Analytics will not be mixed with other Google data. c) You can prevent storage of cookies through a setting in your browser software. However, we advise you that in that case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. Moreover, you can prevent collection of the data related to your use of the website that the cookie has created (including your IP address) by Google and processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at this link: http://tools.google.com/…. d) This website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. This abbreviates IP addresses so that they cannot be related to a specific person. If the data collected about you has a personal reference, it will be immediately eliminated and the personal data deleted right away. e) We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics acquired allow us to improve our website and make it more interesting for you as a user. In the unusual event that personal data are transferred to the United States, Google submits to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f of GDPR. f) Information on third-party suppliers: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001. User conditions: http://www.google.com/…, Overview for data protection: http://www.google.com/… , and the data protection declaration: http://www.google.de/… . g) This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor traffic conducted by one user ID. In your customer account, under “My Data”, “Personal data”, you can deactivate cross-device analysis of your use. (2) Adobe Analytics (Omniture) a) This website uses the web analysis service Adobe Analytics (Omniture) to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics acquired allow us to improve our website and make it more interesting for you as a user. In the unusual event that personal data are transferred to the United States, Adobe submits to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov. The legal basis for use of Adobe Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f of GDPR. b) For this evaluation, cookies are stored on your computer. The information collected in this way is stored on servers in the United States. If you prevent storage of cookies, we advise you that you then may not be able to use this website in its full scope. Storage of cookies can be prevented through the setting in your browser or by using the “Log off” button at http://www.adobe.com/… . c) This website uses Adobe Analytics (Omniture) with the settings “Before Geo-Lookup: Replace visitor’s last IP octet with 0” and “Obfuscate IP-Removed”, by which your IP address will be shortened by the last octet and replaced by a generic IP address that can no longer be assigned. This prevents reference to an individual person. d) Information on the third-party supplier: Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, Ireland, 4–6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Republic of Ireland; privacy@adobe.com; Data protection notes: http://www.adobe.com/…. VII. Social media 1. Use of social media plug-ins a) We currently use the following social media plug-ins: [Xing, LinkedIn]. With them, we use the “two-click solution”. This means that when you visit our site, at first no personal data are passed on to the provider of the plug-in. You can recognize the plug-in providers by the highlighting of the box above its initial letters or the logo. We give you the ability to communicate with the plug-in provider directly through the button. Only if you click on the highlighted field and activate it in this way, does the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online service. In the case of Xing, the IP address is anonymized immediately after collection according to the data of the specific provider in Germany. Through activation of the plug-in, personal data from you are transferred to the specific plug-in provider and stored there (for American providers in the United States). Because the plug-in provider collects data specifically through cookies, we recommend that before clicking on the greyed-out box above your browser’s security settings you delete all cookies. b) We have neither influence on the data processing procedures for the collected data, nor do we know the full extent of data collection, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. We also have no information on the plug-in provider’s deletion of the collected data. c) The plug-in provider stores the data collected from you as a user profile and uses it for purposes of advertising, market research and/or necessary configuration of the website. This sort of evaluation is done (even for users who are not logged in) especially to show necessary advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activity on our website. You have the right to object to creation of this user profile, for which you must contact the plug-in provider for enforcement. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and with other users, so that we can improve our offerings and configure them to be more interesting to you as a user. The legal basis for use of plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f of GDPR. d) The data is forwarded regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, the data we collect from you are assigned directly to the account you have with the plug-in provider. If you click on the activated button and link to the site, for example, the plug-in provider also stores this information in your user account and communicates your contact publicly. We recommend that after using the social network you regularly log out, especially before activating the button, because in this way you can prevent the plug-in provider from assigning to your profile. e) Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in these providers’ data protection declarations indicated below. There you can also get information on your rights in this regard and on the settings for protecting your privacy. f) Addresses of the plug-in providers and the URLs for their data protection notes: – Xing AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg, Germany; http://www.xing.com/privacy. – LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, California 94043, USA; http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. LinkedIn has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. 2. Integration of Google Maps a) On this website, we use Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps for you right in the website and allows you easy use of the map function. b) When you visit the website, Google receives information that you have called up the relevant sub-page of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you have logged into or whether a user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data are assigned directly to your account. If you do not want Google to assign it to your profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as a user profile and uses it for purposes of advertising, market research and/or necessary configuration of the website. This sort of evaluation is done especially (even for users who are not logged in) to provide necessary advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activity on our website. You have the right to object to creation of this user profile, in which case you must contact Google for enforcement. c) Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration. There you can also get information on your rights in this regard and on the settings for protecting your privacy: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the United States and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. VIII. Online advertising 1. Use of Google Adwords Conversion (1) We use Google Adwords for using advertising media (called Google Adwords) on external websites to draw attention to our attractive offerings. In relation to the advertising campaign data, we can determine how successful the individual advertising actions are. We use these to track interest, to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting to you, and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. (2) These advertising media are delivered by Google through “Ad Servers”. For this, we use Ad Server cookies through which specific parameters for success measurement, such as insertion of advertisements or user clicks can be measured. If you access our website through a Google advertisement, Google Adwords will store a cookie on your computer. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and should not be for identifying you personally. For this cookie, usually analysis values are stored, such as the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversations) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wants to be addressed). (3) These cookies allow Google to recognize your web browser again. If the user visits specific pages of an Adwords customer’s website and the cookie stored on the computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user has clicked on the advertisement and was directed to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Adwords customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked through the websites of Adwords customers. We ourselves collect and process no personal data in the aforementioned advertising actions. We receive from Google only statistical evaluations that are made available. Using these evaluations, we can recognize which advertising actions are especially effective. We receive no further data from use of the advertising media and especially cannot identify the user by means of this information. (4) Based on the marketing tools used, your browser automatically creates a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through use of this tool and therefore inform you to the best of our knowledge: By integrating Adwords Conversion, Google receives information that you have called up the relevant part of our website or have clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider will learn your IP address and store it. (5) You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) through an appropriate setting in your browser software, especially one suppressing third-party cookies, so that you receive no advertisements from third-party providers; b) through deactivation of the cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com” are blocked, https://www.google.de/settings/ads, by which this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; c) through deactivation of interest-related advertisements from providers that are part of the self-regulation campaign “About Ads”, through the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, by which this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; d) through permanent deactivation in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser at the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. We advise you that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. (6) The legal basis for processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f of GDPR. You can find more information on data protection at Google here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. IX. Current version of this data protection declaration This data protection declaration is currently valid as of May 2018. Official requirements, new laws or further development of our website may call for us to change this data protection declaration later. The current data protection declaration can be called up at our website and printed out at any time.
